We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function at a large operational depot in Glasgow, overseeing a fleet of approximately 150 operational assets.
This is a senior, site-based leadership role within a safety-critical, high-availability environment, offering full ownership of engineering performance, compliance and team development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, develop and motivate a multi-skilled engineering and maintenance team
* Take full responsibility for asset availability, reliability and performance
* Plan and deliver preventative and corrective maintenance programmes
* Ensure compliance with all safety, statutory and internal engineering standards
* Manage budgets, cost control and continuous improvement initiatives
* Drive performance through KPIs, reporting and root-cause analysis
* Work closely with operational and senior stakeholders to support service delivery
About You
* Proven experience in an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or Fleet Engineering role
* Background managing large-scale asset fleets in operational environments (e.g. transport, logistics, utilities, manufacturing or similar)
* Strong people leader with experience in safety-critical operations
* Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and performance targets
* Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience
