We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient-focused individual with good communication and computer skills, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team, and able to perform under pressure. Ideally, you will have experience working in a medical environment with an understanding of clinical terminology.
You will lead a team of administrative staff who serve as the first point of contact for patients. Your role involves close collaboration with clinical teams to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate appointments. You will be responsible for overseeing an administrative area, supervising staff, and ensuring excellent customer and colleague service, as well as managing, appraising, and interpreting data and information.
The department is friendly and comprises admin staff, HCAs, and Radiographers, covering two floors with services including CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy, X-ray, Mammography, and Ultrasound.
As a Radiology Administration Team Leader, you will:
* Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures by yourself and your team.
* Provide efficient appointment options to patients, consultants, and referrers, considering the urgency of requests.
* Have a comprehensive understanding of procedures and preparation requirements.
* Register patients upon arrival.
* Address queries from patients and consultants.
* Manage bookings and provide information via email and phone.
* Book additional services necessary for patient care, e.g., blood tests.
* Be fully proficient with CRIS, PACS, IEP, and PIMS systems.
* Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation within the department.
* Implement change, multitask, and perform well under pressure.
* Manage rotas and annual leave for your team.
* Train new staff and ensure mandatory training is up to date.
* Undertake tasks as assigned by the Radiology Manager.
