This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and hands-on leader to take ownership of a busy warehouse operation and inspire a large team to deliver excellence.The RoleLeading a team of 40 warehouse operatives, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective running of the warehouse function. You will drive continuous improvement across all areas of the operation while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service.Key Responsibilities* Lead, manage, and motivate a team of 40 warehouse staff, fostering a positive and high-performance culture* Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations including goods in, picking, packing, and despatch* Monitor and report on key performance indicators, implementing improvements where required* Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and company policies* Manage stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and annual stock takes* Liaise with transport, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operational flow* Manage staffing levels, rotas, and absence in line with business needs* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency and reduce costsRequirements* Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Team Leader* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop large teams in a fast-paced environment* Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)* Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and best practice* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills* A results-driven mindset with a hands-on approach* Forklift licence desirable but not essentialWhat's on Offer* Competitive salary of £40,000 – £50,000* The chance to lead and shape a sizeable warehouse operation* Supportive leadership team with genuine career progression opportunities* A collaborative working environment within a growing businessIf you are an experienced warehouse professional ready to take on a leadership challenge, we would love to hear from you.
