Position Details:
* Hourly pay up to $33.50 per hour, based on experience
* Monday - Friday, 3:30am-12:00pm

Position Purpose:
We prioritize safety! The Diesel Technician - Class A ensures safe operations by repairing, maintaining, and overhauling fleet diesel equipment, complying with standards to keep associates safe.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, convertor dollies, and maintenance vehicles with minimal supervision
* Perform overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
* Conduct preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and inspections on fleet diesel equipment
* Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts, replacing as necessary
* Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration for roadworthiness
* Document repairs and maintenance in the online Enterprise Asset Management system
* Install, replace, and repair onboard computers
* Perform routine maintenance tasks using hand and power tools
* Train and guide other mechanics
* Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
5-7 years of proven experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and electronic repairs; at least 2 years in refrigeration and/or overhauls and rebuilds of diesel engines and transmissions
