The Role
The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team.
1. Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts for fee earners and business services
2. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to guide them through budgeting and forecasting processes
3. Develop and maintain financial models for planning and analysis
4. Provide variance analysis and commentary on actuals vs. budget/forecast
5. Assist with monthly and quarterly management reporting
6. Contribute to the improvement of FP&A processes and systems
7. Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects
8. There will be a secondary focus on management accounting. This will involve supporting the wider management accounts team as required in the preparation of the quarterly accounts as well as reporting to departments on their performance to date and outlook for the future
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst position will possess the following qualifications and skills.
9. Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with law firm finance experience
10. Strong analytical and Excel modelling skills
11. Confident in communicating with senior stakeholders independently
12. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
13. Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse financial data
14. Independent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
15. Prior FP&A experience in a professional services firm is a plus
