Key Responsibilities of a SEN HLTA
Deliver learning activities under the direction of the teacher or SENCO
Provide support for pupils with SEN across the curriculum
Lead small groups or one-to-one sessions
Contribute to planning and assessment of pupil progress
Support behaviour management and promote positive engagement
Person Specification SEN HLTA
HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
ECT looking for more SEN classroom experience
Experience working with SEN pupils in a school or educational setting
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs
Team player, patient, and proactive
