Role overview
As a Senior Social Worker within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Team, you will play a critical role in screening referrals, making timely safeguarding decisions, and supporting high-quality practice across partner agencies. You will provide professional leadership, ensure statutory compliance, and contribute to safeguarding children and young people through effective multi-agency working.
What you will do
* Screen and make informed decisions on incoming safeguarding referrals promptly and accurately
* Undertake robust assessments and risk analysis to determine appropriate interventions
* Provide professional leadership and guidance to social workers, promoting high standards of practice
* Work collaboratively with police, health, education, and other partner agencies
* Apply relevant legislation and statutory frameworks to safeguard children effectively
* Prepare and present court reports where required
* Maintain accurate and high-quality records using Mosaic
* Engage in continuous professional development to maintain best practice standards
Qualifications
* Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make swift, confident decisions
* Proven experience preparing and presenting court reports
* Proficiency in using Mosaic social work recording systems
