Salary: £32,546 to £35,116, with potential progression to £39,355
Grade: 6
Contract: Full Time, Fixed Term up to April 2026

Background
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's largest Cancer Research Collaboration units. The CRCTU specializes in a wide range of cancer trials and is funded by Cancer Research UK and other partners. The successful candidate will coordinate clinical trials, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, developing documentation, managing sites, supervising staff, and preparing data for analysis and publication.
Candidate Requirements
* Higher degree in a relevant biomedical field or equivalent experience
* Understanding of clinical research and trial management
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Access is advantageous
* Excellent organizational, communication, and team skills
* Ability to travel nationally as required
Training will be provided for candidates lacking trial management experience. Hybrid working arrangements are available.
Role Summary
The Trial Coordinator manages trial protocols, maintains standards, and contributes to policy development. They support trial site setup, monitor progress, manage data, and contribute to research dissemination. They also ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards and promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Main Duties
* Ensure trial conduct adheres to standards and maintain records
* Manage regulatory submissions and site setup
* Monitor trial progress and troubleshoot issues
* Assist in designing and analyzing research data
* Manage documentation and data collection
* Prepare reports and support trial governance
* Contribute to trial management and policy development
* Maintain data quality and integrity
* Develop and implement trial procedures and tools
* Present research findings and contribute to training
* Support compliance with legislation and ethical standards
