Salary: GBP29000 - GBP29500 per annum
I am recruiting a CARING and PASSIONATE Female Support Services Coordinator on behalf of a fantastic service in the Cwmbran, Torfaen area.

This is a great opportunity to manage team members and lead the day-to-day coordination of the Refuge Service, providing specialist trauma-informed and person-led support to people affected by Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse, and/or Sexual Violence (VAWDASV).
This position is open to women only under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1. It is also subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
* Hours: 35 Hours per week (Monday to Friday)

As a Support Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
* Working closely with the Service Manager to contribute to achieving the team's operational objectives by demonstrating and positively role-modelling the organisation's values and culture
* Collaborating with team members to plan and deliver high-quality, specialist, trauma-informed, person-led support services
* Ensuring team members prioritize individuals supported through the service, involving them in designing their support and providing feedback opportunities
* Managing safeguarding for your service area
* Managing delegated aspects of budget responsibility
* Providing case management support and direction to the team
* Preparing and supporting team attendance at Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) and similar meetings
* Supporting the Service Manager in collecting information and producing timely reports for funding requirements
* Monitoring the team's compliance with external quality standards
* Overseeing regular audits and compliance
* Working collaboratively with other Service Coordinators to ensure accessible refuge, community, and crisis referral pathways
* Empowering individuals to make informed choices and achieve meaningful outcomes
* Providing support, signposting, and referring adults and children to internal and external services
* Carrying out any other duties as requested by your line manager
Requirements for the Support Services Coordinator:
* Hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate, relevant degree, or demonstrable equivalent experience or vocational qualification
* Previous experience in a similar role
* A driving license and access to own vehicle is essential
* Understanding of domestic violence and abuse, including impacts on victims and children
* Knowledge of child protection issues and safeguarding procedures
* Experience engaging with external agencies
* Excellent IT and communication skills
* Ability to provide practical and emotional support
* Ability to manage own workload effectively
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
