School-Based SEND Support Worker | Lewisham | September Start
Are you the calm in a classroom storm? The one who spots the child sitting quietly, needing just a bit of extra help to shine?
We’re looking for kind, patient, and switched-on support workers to work with children and young people with special educational needs across schools in Lewisham. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to make a real difference, every single day.

* Providing 1:1 or small group support in class or through targeted interventions
* Helping pupils feel safe, included, and able to engage with learning
* Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and sometimes external specialists
Who this role suits:
* You might have a background in education, youth work, care, or support work
* You’re calm, resilient, and good at reading between the lines
* You believe behaviour is communication—and know how to respond with empathy
* You’re reliable, reflective, and open to learning on the job
DBS Reminder:
You’ll need a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. If you need one, we’ll help you apply and cover the steps.
