Work Based Assessor – Fabrication and Welding
35 hours per week

£37,773 per annum
Are you ready to shape the future of Fabrication and Welding? New College Lanarkshire is seeking a passionate Work Based Assessor to mentor and guide the next generation of skilled professionals.
What You'll Do:
1. Support, assess, and verify candidates pursuing SVQs at SCQF Level 6 in Fabrication and Welding.
2. Utilize your expertise to ensure learners meet industry standards and achieve their qualifications.
What We're Looking For:
3. Qualifications: SVQ Level 3 (SCQF Level 6) or equivalent in a relevant discipline
4. Assessor/Verifier Qualifications: Possession of or willingness to work towards relevant formal Assessor/Verifier qualifications.
5. Health & Safety: Holding or willing to work towards a relevant H&S award such as IOSH Managing Safely.
6. Experience: Recent industrial experience in the Fabrication and Welding sector and familiarity with National Occupational Standards. Fabrication and welding experience min 3 years, plate work, sheet metal and/or structural steel.
7. Skills: Ability to work to deadlines.
