We are looking for a Senior Pricing Strategy Manager to help shape and deliver our fares, ticketing, and product strategy. Reporting to the Head of Revenue Strategy and Optimisation, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our pricing approach balances short-term revenue growth with long-term innovation.


Responsibilities

* Lead on pricing decisions that maximise revenue, using data analysis, competitor insight, and market trends to inform strategy.
* Shape and deliver short, medium, and long-term fares strategies, including Fare Setting Rounds and Fares Reform initiatives.
* Act as a key representative for LNER at industry forums and with regulatory bodies, ensuring our commercial interests are protected and advanced.
* Provide clear, impactful communication and briefing materials for stakeholders, ensuring fares, products, and changes are understood across the business and wider industry.
* Drive innovation in fares by developing new products and promotions that enhance customer choice and grow revenue.
* Champion continuous improvement in fare structures and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while maximising flexibility and commercial opportunity.
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of pricing professionals, building capability and ensuring resilience in times of change.
* Oversee the technical delivery of fares systems, ensuring suppliers meet expectations and provide value for money.


What you'll need

* Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Confidence with IT systems, able to turn complex data into clear insights.
* Proven ability to think strategically about pricing and revenue, focusing on what drives the biggest impact.
* Significant experience in the rail industry, with hands-on expertise in pricing, ticketing, and revenue systems.
* Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex terminology and influence stakeholders at every level.
* Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of how pricing fits into broader business strategy.
* Experience leading negotiations, managing teams, and delivering results through others.
* A solid track record of setting prices within a regulated environment, balancing compliance with commercial opportunity.

Medical screening
