This role is part of a successful and growing commercial team focused on the Public Sector within the Oracle Enterprise Applications business (covering Oracle SaaS and Applications Unlimited). You will deliver large sales opportunities and support client relationships, driving sales through existing customers and new business development.
You will be responsible for:
* Leading the full sales cycle, from lead generation, pre-qualification, bid preparation and submission, demonstrations, to closing deals.
* Identifying new opportunities for Enterprise Applications through market knowledge, customer relationship development, and leveraging the Version 1 network, including targeted marketing campaigns, events, and direct calling initiatives.
* Collaborating closely with Version 1 technology partners and specialists (such as Oracle).
* Negotiating contracts primarily for implementation services and managed service sales, including license/hardware sales and other consulting services, with support from relevant teams.
Qualifications
To succeed as a BD Director, you should:
* Have experience operating in a Technology Services environment within a similar organization.
* Possess practical experience selling to the UK Public Sector, including Central Government, NHS, Utilities, and others.
* Demonstrate leadership abilities and experience in building and maintaining successful, motivated teams.
* Show competence in acquiring new business, developing opportunities with current clients, and supporting the entire sales cycle.
