Laboratory Technician Position in Didcot, Oxfordshire
We are a leading provider of analytical testing and environmental services, seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our environmental testing lab in Didcot, Oxfordshire. This is a temporary to permanent, full-time role suitable for graduates in Chemistry or related disciplines, or individuals with prior lab experience. Immediate availability is required due to the urgent nature of the role.
The role involves occasional driving to client sites for sample collection, requiring a full clean driving license and a First Aid at Work Qualification.
Role Overview
1. Receipt and analysis of samples using various analytical techniques.
2. Ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations such as UKAS ISO17025 and GLP.
3. Occasional site visits for sample collection, a few times per quarter.
4. Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 39 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm, Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm).
Requirements
1. A degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline is beneficial but not essential if you have equivalent lab experience.
2. Experience in analytical chemistry, especially with environmental samples, is highly advantageous.
3. Motivated, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving, communication skills, and a commitment to quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
4. Immediate availability and residence within a commutable distance from Didcot.
5. Full clean driving license and First Aid at Work Qualification are essential.
