Overview
This is a Sous Chef role at Aria Healthcare's Brook House Care Home in Towcester, Northampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating fresh, nutritious meals for the residents using the best ingredients available. The role involves leading by example and showcasing high-level hospitality skills, with a focus on supporting the Head Chef and mentoring the team. As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in preparing and cooking meals for the residents of the 53-bed Residential and Dementia Care Home. You will need to have a passion for creating fresh, high-quality meals and the ability to work well in a team. The role involves working 38 hours per week, including every other weekend, with shift times from 8am to 6pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Create fresh, nutritious meals for residents using the best ingredients available.
* Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking meals for the residents of the 53-bed Residential and Dementia Care Home.
* Lead by example, showcasing high-level hospitality skills, and mentor the kitchen team.
* Work 38 hours per week, including every other weekend, from 8am to 6pm.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a proven track record of creating high-quality meals.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
* Experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage, but is not essential.
