Qualifications
* HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject
* Preference for 10 years (minimum 5 years) experience in building services and plant engineering
* Previous appointment as Authorised Person for one or more of: LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems
* Experience with Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Numerate and computer literate
* Willingness to undertake training for certain aspects of the role
* Flexibility to support other contract‑specific sites and changes within the estate
* Ability to obtain and maintain SC clearance
* IOSH Managing Safety knowledge
Responsibilities
You will conduct a multi‑skilled maintenance service across electrical and mechanical disciplines, providing both reactive and proactive support to meet project requirements.
Responsibilities include carrying out modifications and installations, maintaining, repairing and calibrating electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
You will ensure all key performance indicators are met, liaise with contractors or external suppliers, and complete required paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Work must be carried out to high standards, in line with company policies and procedures, and any apparent deficiencies in systems or equipment that may impact service delivery, health and safety, or the environment must be reported.
You will be responsible for ensuring your own work and that of those under your supervision is completed safely and diligently.
Appropriate training will be provided as needed to ensure competence in required skills.
