Aspen Court Nursing & Dementia Nursing Home is a modern, purpose-built home in the peaceful northern outskirts of Taunton, offering high-quality Dementia and Nursing care for up to 42 residents.
We’re looking for a meticulous Laundry Assistant to deliver top-notch laundry services for our residents and ensure their personal clothing and linen are well cared for. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. High-Quality Laundry Service: Manage all linen and residents’ personal clothing with care, ensuring top-quality service.
2. Maintain Standards: Keep the laundry area clean and organized, following specific guidelines and schedules.
3. Confidentiality: Respect and maintain the confidentiality of residents’ personal information at all times.
4. Compliance: Follow all statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
5. Labelling and Repair: Label all residents’ personal clothing and items, keep them in good repair, and return them to the correct resident.
6. Equipment Safety: Ensure all laundry equipment is in full, safe working order.
7. Proactive Approach: Be vigilant, promptly clean any spillages, and address issues as they arise.
8. Team Contribution: Participate actively in team meetings, attend training sessions, and contribute to a friendly, supportive work environment.

Details:
* 20 hours per week
* Days: Week 1 - Tuesday, Sunday; Week 2 - Monday, Friday
* Pension included
* £2 per hour overtime pay
* Uniform provided
* 5.6 weeks of annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
