About the Role:
As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the Data Governance team, focusing on Data Governance (DG), Data Quality (DQ), and Data Observability. You will support various project phases, from problem definition to solution generation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and value-adding consulting solutions. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, assessments, and collaborating with clients to develop comprehensive data governance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Support: Assist the Data Governance Team in different project phases, including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution generation, and design.
2. Research: Conduct secondary research on Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Strategy topics to identify problem areas and support effort estimation and proposals.
3. Assessment: Conduct As-Is assessments of the current state and prepare roadmaps for the next project phases.
4. Solution Development: Understand recommended solutions, explore alternatives, assist in building Proof of Concepts (POCs), and seek reviews to help provide solution options.
5. Client Collaboration: Work with clients to understand their business objectives and data challenges, developing strategies aligned with their needs.
6. Data Quality Management: Implement and oversee data quality initiatives to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
7. Data Observability: Use data observability tools and practices to monitor and improve data health and performance.
8. Thought Leadership: Support leadership in designing policies, procedures, and frameworks for effective data management, privacy, and security.
Good to Have:
* Experience working with data and analytics supporting data-driven decision-making.
* Basic understanding of data governance best practices, data privacy regulations, and data quality management.
* Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and analytics technologies.
* Knowledge of SQL or other database languages.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
