Overview
The Community Nursing Service in North East Lincolnshire works in liaison with GPs, practice nurses and other agencies to provide a high quality, skilled and holistic nursing care service to the community.
You will work on your own out in the community, under direction of the team, to provide a range of care needs to our clients, such as wound dressings, eye care, pressure area care, venepuncture, monitoring of blood pressure, weight and blood sugar as well as palliative and terminal care. You will also provide emotional support to patients, carers and family members; therefore an empathetic and sympathetic approach with effective communication skills. Most importantly you must be able to demonstrate your commitment to the values of Care Plus Group. In return you will have access to further training and development with ongoing supervision and support.
Responsibilities
* Transport yourself and equipment across locations within North East Lincolnshire to deadlines
* Work evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis with a flexible approach to working arrangements
* Provide wound dressings, eye care, pressure area care, venepuncture, monitoring of blood pressure, weight and blood sugar (as applicable)
* Provide palliative and terminal care
* Provide emotional support to patients, carers and family members
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification, e.g. QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
* A Level 2 qualification in Numeracy and Literacy or equivalent
* Accurate and proven record keeping and IT skills
