Who we are… Woodside Lodge Residential Care Home is set in the heart of the tranquil New Forest, 10 minutes from the historic town of Christchurch. We are a family run privately owned Residential Care Home established in 1983 and have earned a very highly esteemed reputation for offering quality residential care. We specialise in Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s care and have over 40 years’ experience enriching our resident’s lives. The Role
We are looking for a kind, caring, and enthusiastic Care Assistant to join our day care team. This role involves combining hands‑on care with responsibility for supporting and delivering meaningful activities that enrich our residents’ lives.
* Provide high-quality personal care with dignity and respect
* Support residents with daily living needs, nutrition, and comfort
* Encourage social interaction, engagement, and independence
* Plan, support, and deliver stimulating activities tailored to individual abilities, interests, and life histories
* Promote emotional wellbeing, inclusion, and enjoyment
* Maintain accurate care and activity records using IT systems such as PCS and Atlas
You will make a genuine difference every day — bringing moments of joy, purpose, and connection to our residents.
Who We’re Looking For
* Wish to embark or enhance on their career in Dementia care and those who are keen to work towards their NVQ2 in Health and Social Care.
* Creative, enthusiastic, and confident engaging individuals and small groups
* Is confident using IT systems, such as PCS and Atlas which supports with effective care documentation.
* Has strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Proactive thinking in an ever‑changing environment and an open approach to continuous learning
* Enjoys working as part of a supportive, close‑knit team
* Previous training or a keen enthusiasm to work towards medication training is desirable.
