Job Description
Job Purpose and work duties
Job purpose:
· To assist 61 y/o lady with the day-to-day activities enabling myself, as the employer, to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets my chosen
· lifestyle. DBS requirement: The role involves personal care.
· Personality: We are looking for someone with a bubbly and positive personality.
· Community support: The individual likes to be taken out in the community at least three times per week, including parks and other local activities.
· Appointments: Assistance is required for attending appointments, such as GP visits, hairdressers, and other essential outings.
· Hours: The position covers 2 days per week, 6 hours per session, with flexibility where possible.
Hours and rate of pay
12 hours per week at £12.40 per hour at 2 days a week for 6 hours per session can be flexible on days
Work Duties may include:
Supporting
· Support with day planning
· Social support inc clothes shopping, visitting friends, going for food the
· With social support within the home
· Community support: The individual likes to be taken out in the community at least three times per week, including parks and other local activities.
Undertaking activities for employer
· Ensuring employers home is hygienic and safe
Other requirements
· Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
· Assisting with management of employer’s health risks
· Establish and maintain effective communication
· Maintaining confidentiality
Location
· Within the employer’s home in the Downend area of Bristol.
Requirements for applicant
· Experience of providing personal care
· Driver required, with access to motor vehicle (mileage paid)
· Good sense of humour
· Patience
· Ability to understand and deliver the needs of the employer
· Ability to undertake domestic activities
· Flexible, reliable and honest
· Good general fitness
· An enhanced DBS check will be required
