Job Description:
TeachMatch Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Teacher of IT and Computer Science for a long-term supply role in one of our partner schools in South Yorkshire.
The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging IT and Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4. You'll need to be confident in adapting to new classroom environments and passionate about preparing students for a digital future.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality IT and Computer Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Inspire students with engaging content, fostering creativity and digital literacy.
Plan, prepare, and assess work to support student progress.
Manage classroom behaviour and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with departmental staff and contribute to a forward-thinking ICT curriculum.
Support students with a range of technical abilities and learning styles.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Strong knowledge of the IT and Computer Science curriculum.
Confidence in teaching programming, systems architecture, cybersecurity, and digital literacy.
Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills.
Previous UK teaching experience in IT/Computer Science is essential.
