Offer description

Join the Rugby Revolution at Yeovil College! Working in partnership with England Rugby, we are excited to offer a new 15-hour-per-week role for a School Rugby Manager, fixed term for 12 months. Lead the charge in growing rugby across schools in the Yeovil area, inspire the next generation, and build lasting pathways across South Somerset. If you’re passionate about rugby, education, and making an impact, we want to hear from you!

England Rugby has set a bold target to bring rugby union into an additional 5,000 state primary and secondary schools by 2027, led by a network of 100 School Rugby Managers just like you. Based at Yeovil College, you’ll drive this growth locally, introducing T1 rugby in schools, developing teachers and young leaders, organising inclusive playing opportunities, and creating lasting school-to-club links. You’ll collaborate with Heads of PE, senior school leaders, England Rugby staff, and community partners to ensure rugby thrives in every setting — with a special focus on reaching new and underrepresented groups. If you're ready to lead a game-changing project and grow rugby’s presence across education, this is your moment – apply now and be part of something amazing!

What we're looking for:

Proven experience in facilitating program delivery and collaborating with local agencies and partners.

A strong passion for teaching and motivating young people to participate in sport.

Experience supporting young people in learning and developing new skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Educated to A Level or equivalent.

What we offer:

Part-time position, 15 hours per week, all year round.

Generous pension scheme of 18.9% employer contributions

Staff discount scheme with high street and online retailers

Opportunities for professional development and career growth

Employee assistance programme

Free onsite gym

Subsidised catering facilities

Access to free staff parking

Don't miss out!

Join Yeovil College and make a real difference in the lives of students as they embark on their educational journeys. Apply now to become a part of our dedicated and dynamic team!

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications. If you’re excited about this opportunity, submit your application as soon as possible!
