Loan and Treasury Operations Analyst

The Growth Company (GC) Business Finance team have an exciting opportunity for a Loan and Treasury Operations Analyst to join our Lending Operations function.

GC is a social enterprise committed to driving inclusive economic growth and providing responsible finance to individuals and businesses who may struggle to access traditional lending. This role is essential in maintaining financial control, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our loan portfolio, and supporting robust treasury operations.

You’ll play a hands-on role in managing daily cash movements, reconciliations, and operational reporting, working closely with our lending operations and finance teams to keep processes accurate, efficient, and audit ready.

We’re looking for candidates with experience in cash management, treasury operations, or loan portfolio reconciliation. If you have strong attention to detail, enjoy solving problems, and can confidently support or oversee operational processes, we’d love to hear from you. Experience in lending, banking, or financial services would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cash sweeps, ensuring accurate allocation of repayments, disbursements, and funder movements.
2. Review daily loan transactions, interest postings, and repayments.
3. Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations of loan balances, arrears, write-offs, and related accounts.
4. Reconcile loan and cash transactions in the loan management system, resolving discrepancies promptly.
5. Post adjustments and maintain a clear audit trail for all updates and reconciliations.
6. Manage purchase ledger cash movements, ensuring accurate payments and allocations.
7. Produce operational reports on loans, arrears, write-offs, repayments, and cash activity.
8. Provide guidance and oversight to staff completing reconciliations and loan processing.
9. Support month-end by preparing reconciled cash and portfolio figures.
10. Maintain and improve reconciliation and reporting processes, including system checks or automation (., SQL).
11. Ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant, and audit-ready.

About You:

12. Highly organised with a strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
13. Comfortable overseeing operational processes and supporting team members.
14. Experienced in loan cash flows, treasury operations, reconciliation, or financial control.
15. Able to work collaboratively across finance, lending, and operations teams.
16. Motivated by maintaining high levels of accuracy and operational integrity.

Skills Required:

17. Relevant professional qualification in treasury (ACT or equivalent).
18. Experience in cash management, loan portfolio reconciliation, or finance operations.
19. Strong understanding of loan lifecycle accounting and funder-related cash flows.
20. Experience supporting or overseeing operational processing and reconciliation activities.
21. Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple internal teams.
22. Basic SQL or system automation skills to support reconciliation and reporting.
23. Experience with operational cash sweeps, funding flows, or waterfall reporting.
24. Background in regulated lending or banking environments.
25. Proven ability to produce clear, accurate, and timely operational reports.
26. Knowledge of loan management systems, including posting and reconciling transactions.
