Production Manager opportunity in this established and successful subcontract precision engineering company. We are looking for an experienced engineer and manager who understands the detail and challenges of a CNC machine shop.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day production activities within the workshop to ensure efficient operations.
* Manage and lead a team of skilled technicians and operators, fostering a productive and positive working environment.
* Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
* Monitor and optimise CNC machining processes to ensure precision, efficiency, and quality.
* Coordinate with engineering and design teams to translate project requirements into efficient production plans.
* Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to increase productivity and reduce waste.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the workshop.
* Maintain accurate production records and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as a Production Manager, with a strong background in CNC operations.
* Exceptional leadership and man-management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* In-depth knowledge of workshop operations and production processes.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks efficiently.
* Familiarity with safety protocols and standards in a workshop environment.
