Job Description:
Surgery and Neurology Night Registered Veterinary Nurse
Queen Mother Hospital
We have an exciting opportunity for an RVN keen to develop their nursing career in caring for patients overnight in the Surgery and Neurology wards at a friendly multidisciplinary referral hospital. Working as part of a team of specialist clinicians, residents, interns, RVNs, and Patient Care Assistants, you will be involved in a range of interesting and challenging cases.
This position is ideal for an RVN eager to develop their career and specialise in surgical and neurology nursing. You can expect hands-on nursing of various neurological and surgical conditions, including Orthopaedic, Soft tissue, and Ophthalmology patients in the ward. Additionally, you will assist with postoperative rehabilitation of patients.
Referral nursing experience is not required, as full specialist training and support will be provided.
This is a part-time, fixed-term role working 23 hours per week, with 2 night shifts per week (08:30 pm - 08:00 am) on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
We offer a generous reward package and benefits, including:
* Competitive and attractive pension scheme
* Generous 30 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays and concessionary days)
