Transport Planner\n\nSalary: Between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependant on experience)\n\nShifts: Days regular, Monday to Friday\n\nLocation: Sheffield\n\nHiring Method: Permanent\n\nNicholas Associates are working with an established Steel Manufacturing company based in the Sheffield, who are looking to add an experienced Transport Planner to their team on a permanent basis. The role will be responsible optimising the movement of metal products within and outside the organisations.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManagement of Order books - reviewing impacts to schedules and changes\nEnsuring efficient and effective customer communication\nDealing with Customer Approvals, Outages, Quality issues - Risk identification and mitigation\nBeing the main point of contact for Customers - Customer Relationship Management\nKey interface between Customer, Supply chain and Operations\nDealing with the management of On-Time Delivery and Arrears\nHaving an understanding of Steel Manufacturing processes\nDealing with Quality/Technical Approvals\nStock Control\nOther duties to support business \n\nKey Requirements:\n\nPreferably Degree Qualified or equivalent relevant experience\nIdeally previous experience in a customer facing role\nPlanning/Scheduling/S&OP experience\nPrevious experience with MRP/ERP Systems\nPrevious experience with strong customer and operational focus\nProven ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships with excellent communications and interpersonal skills\nPrevious experience working within a fast paced Manufacturing environment - ideally Engineering. \n\nKey Details:\n\nPermanent Role\nDays Regular\n£35,000 - £40,000 per annum\nSheffield \n\nIf you are an experienced Transport Planner and the vacancy is of interest, please apply today and one of our consultants will be in touch with you if you are suitable for the role.\n\nAbout Us\n\nWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
