Description
As Medical Learning Manager, you are accountable for all medical learning across our portfolio for EU Cluster market. You will act as a conduit across multiple matrix functions to develop the medical learning strategy. Partnering closely with the WW (worldwide) Learning Centre of Excellence, WW Medical Learning and WW Commercialization learning to identify & align learning solutions, services and technology to see the big picture and leverage diverse perspectives to maximize performance across the UK, EU Cluster – Spain, Italy, Nordics and Central Eastern European Markets. Strong collaborative working is key across all business functions to ensure continuous alignment of all key medical learning initiatives adding value in support of the local business objectives.
Reporting to Associate Director, International Markets Medical Enablement and Regional Lead
Key Accountabilities
1. Collaborate with key stakeholders; Country Medical Director, Business Unit Medical leads to identify all medical learning needs to deliver the highest quality scientific, skill and capability-based pathways including design, development and integration of content, related to the market strategy.
2. Develop a learning strategy that supports local business objectives.
3. Continuously seek to identify and leverage state-of-the-art adult learning methodologies that can accelerate skill and knowledge development.
4. Leverage key worldwide commercialization learning and WW Medical learning initiatives at the market level; collaborate with Learning managers in other markets to share learning.
5. Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate the success of training ensuring impact meets business needs.
6. Partnering with WW Medical Learning to coordinate and execute scientific and soft skills onboarding programs for new medical team members.
7. Develop, collaborate and deliver all ongoing Medical Learning programmes across Therapeutic Areas for all in market medical team members.
8. Collaborate with WW Medical scientific learning leads, to lead planning/execution of scientific learning initiatives to ensure medical launch readiness.
9. Collaborate with local Business unit leads and WW Medical Learning to develop the appropriate field readiness validation programmes.
10. Act as a strategic business partner across EU Cluster to provide innovative and flexible learning solutions that drive an evolving and agile organisation.
Skills & Experience & Individual requirements
11. BA/BS required. MBA, PhD, PharmD, Nursing degree or other graduate experience strongly preferred.
12. 4+ years pharmaceutical experience, including professional work experience in medical learning.
13. Excellent level of English.
14. Has a strong knowledge of Medical Affairs’ role & responsibilities, including field & office-based teams.
15. Knowledge of adult learning principles, learning design & executing learning strategies preferred.
16. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with matrix teams.
17. High level of digital agility.
18. Strong Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
