We are working with a well-established, privately owned manufacturing business to recruit a Finance Assistant to join its finance team.

With a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service, the business operates across a national footprint and continues to experience sustained growth. Finance plays a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate processing, strong controls and efficient administration.

This opportunity offers a hands-on, transactional role within a supportive finance function, ideal for someone with experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration looking for a stable and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities


Transactional Finance & Processing

* Processing and posting purchase invoices (stock and non-stock).
* Posting sales ledger cash accurately and in a timely manner.
* Processing and reconciling credit card statements and employee expenses.


Accounts Administration

* Distributing purchase invoices to relevant teams and tracking approvals.
* Managing incoming post and supporting general finance administration.
* Filing and scanning financial documents, maintaining accurate records.


Month-End Support

* Assisting with month-end processes and basic reconciliations.
* Supporting the wider finance team with maintaining accurate records.


Candidate Profile

* Previous experience in a bookkeeping, finance assistant or transactional finance role.
* Comfortable processing high volumes of invoices, expenses and reconciliations.
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
* Well organised with the ability to manage routine tasks efficiently.
* Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
* Basic to intermediate Excel skills and experience using finance systems (e.g. Sage).
