Do you have a strong interest in working with individuals who come into contact with the criminal justice system?
This is a unique opportunity to work as an assistant psychologist embedded in probation offices under the guidance and supervision of qualified psychologists from St Andrew's Healthcare.
The National Probation Service (NPS), Oxfordshire County Councils have partnered with St Andrew’s Healthcare to deliver Community Sentence Treatment Requirements as part of a Mental Health Treatment Requirement initiative.
Within this role, you will support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the Criminal Justice System (CJS); providing psychological assessment and interventions under supervision, working independently according to a plan agreed with the psychologist and within the overall framework of MHTRs, and St Andrew’s policies and procedures.
Applicants should have a relevant Master’s degree in psychology or relevant work experience and be eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society.
The role will be located across Oxford, primarily at a Probation Office in Oxford. Travel outside Oxford is reimbursed and typically required for training.
