Wycombe Homeless Connection (WHC) is a Christian-led charity based in south Buckinghamshire that works to end homelessness in our community.
We make a difference in the lives of local people, stopping homelessness before it starts through our innovative homelessness prevention programmes and reducing the harm homelessness can do with our frontline support and health projects.
Our vision is that south Buckinghamshire is transformed into a place where no one loses their home and that there is suitable housing and housing security for all.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled person to join our team as a Volunteering Coordinator to take the lead on developing our volunteering programme,making sure volunteers have a great experience at our organisation as the central part of our mission to enable our community to end homelessness.
While there is some face-to-face work with volunteers and a pastoral element to this role, it is mostly about developing the volunteering project at WHC.You’ll have great skills in managing projects,producing and delivering systems and processes that ensure volunteers are recruited, trained, matched to roles, able to deliver their tasks and managed effectively. You’ll have experiences working with data, systems and databases. We do not require you to have had previous experience working with volunteers.
WHC has always benefited from significant volunteer support and exists in no small part due to generous and skilled volunteers who want to make an impact on people who are affected by homelessness in our community. You will build on this firm foundation.
* Refresh, develop and oversee our volunteer programme
* Manage and develop our volunteering systems, tools, policies and procedures relating to volunteering
* Communicate and work with volunteers to ensure they are supported, kept up to date, fulfilled and inspired by the work they do
