The Company:
Established Global Consultancy with expertise in Supply Chain and Manufacturing, serving clients such as Dow Chemical, Cargill, Kellogg's, Coca Cola, DuPont, Diageo, and others. Focused on Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Chemicals, and Pharma sectors. The company maintains long-term client relationships (over 20 years in some cases) and provides award-winning consulting and technology solutions to improve manufacturing and supply chain efficiency, delivering clear ROI and cost savings. We seek a candidate to manage and develop our largest, strategic customers in the EMEA region.
Role Overview:
As a Consulting Principal, you will lead client engagements, oversee project delivery, and identify new business opportunities. You will provide strategic guidance, manage project teams, and build strong client relationships to achieve successful outcomes. The role requires deep industry knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to spot upselling opportunities.
This is a remote role; approximately 50% of the time working from home and 50% traveling to client sites. Candidates based in the UK & Ireland are preferred.
Requirements:
1. Client Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding needs and delivering value-added solutions.
* Act as a trusted advisor, providing independent opinions on complex issues and facilitating decision-making, leveraging SME networks.
* Serve as a point of escalation and resolve issues professionally.
* Agree and document annual client performance and improvement plans.
* Conduct quarterly face-to-face review meetings.
* Represent the voice of the customer, providing feedback with clear business cases and ROI considerations.
* Manage conversations around NPS survey results.
2. Business Development and Revenue Growth
* Expand contacts within client organizations, maintain relationships with decision-makers, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
* Develop expertise in the client’s market, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
* Create client management strategies to maximize revenue and encourage repeat business.
* Align client account budgets and targets with global objectives, supporting 3-year forecasting.
* Negotiate key account terms, agreements, SLAs, and Statements of Work, ensuring clarity and consistency.
3. Strategic Leadership
* Provide strategic direction to consulting teams aligned with client goals.
* Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
* Collaborate with other Principals to foster a cooperative environment and share best practices, maintaining confidentiality.
4. Project Delivery and Management
* Oversee end-to-end project execution, including scoping, planning, and resource allocation.
* Ensure effective delivery of consulting services, both on-site and remotely.
* Manage project budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
* Assign resources effectively to ensure project success.
* Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Coordinate between Solutions, Consulting, and Technology teams to resolve service issues.
* Implement quality monitoring processes for deliverables.
