The role is shared over a seven-day shift system incorporating a work and family balance. The annual salary is based on 39 hours per week, plus a bonus structure for any permanent staff members.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be making a genuine & incredibly vital difference to the lives of children & young people who have particular needs in the care home, including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), moderate or severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH). Within this role, you will be:
* Leading shifts and supervising a team of Support Workers
* Organising and accompanying the young people on social activities and appointments
* Building strong relationships with young people to help them feel safe and cared for
* Recording the young person's activity & reporting key aspects of their care (electronic records)
* Promoting the young person's independence and helping them to develop their life skills
* Encouraging the young people to reach their personal goals
