Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
3. Lead end-to-end procurement for major infrastructure projects.
4. Develop and test procurement documentation and assessment models.
5. Engage with external advisors to enhance strategy and ensure best practice.
6. Influence stakeholders and suppliers to deliver outcomes that meet technical, financial, and social value objectives.
7. Ensure compliance with regulated utilities frameworks and procurement legislation.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:
8. Qualified procurement professionals with experience in regulated utilities (UCR, Ofwat, DPC), PCR2015 and PA23.
9. Commercial and contract managers familiar with DBF and CAP models.
10. Specialists in stakeholder engagement, sustainability, and supply chain evaluation.
11. Project Procurement Specialists for greenfield or brownfield requirements.
12. Proven experience in procurement for large-scale infrastructure projects (utilities, construction, highways, rail, PFI).
13. Strong understanding of capital projects and ability to manage procurement at significant scale.
14. MCIPS qualification or equivalent experience.
What's on Offer
15. Daily rate between £500 and £600, depending on experience.
16. 6 months duration.
17. Hybrid working - 1 day in Cardiff per week.
