This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join the organisation on a maternity cover fixed-term contract for a period of 12-15 months, playing a key role in managing the accounts and administration function and supporting the wider leadership team.
You will take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations while also producing accurate and timely financial information for Head Office and the Board. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being involved, working closely with colleagues, and contributing positively to a collaborative working environment.
Duties include:
1. Full responsibility for daily bank reports, reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
2. Preparation of monthly management accounts, KPIs, balance sheet reconciliations and trial balance
3. Sales and purchase ledger oversight, including reconciliations and anomaly resolution
4. Payroll preparation support, including commission calculations
5. VAT returns, budgets, audits and liaison with external auditors
