These include clinical liaison, educational, managerial and service evaluation roles. Clinical work will involve assessment and interventions with patients in the acute trust and working with an expanding multidisciplinary liaison mental health team. The team will promote the development of skills in this area within the acute trust and pathway development.

The post holder needs excellent knowledge and experience of assessing and providing mental health interventions for people with comorbid physical health difficulties. The post is suitable for those with a CCT in adult or a dual in adult and old age psychiatry and experience of working in an acute hospital setting. An endorsement in liaison psychiatry is desirable but not essential. Applications are welcome from those who want to work part time. Section 12 and AC approval are a necessity. Applicants must be on the GMC's specialist register or eligible for inclusion or be within six months of an anticipated award of a certificate of completion of training (CCT) in general Adult Psychiatry or dual CCT at the time of interview for the post.
Applicants must have the relevant professional qualifications in line with essential elements of the person specification and a CV demonstrating a wide range of essential and desirable skills in terms of qualifications, clinical skills, knowledge and experience as well as academic skills and lifelong learning, all detailed in the attached job description.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
