Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced SME Finance Manager or Assistant Finance Manager to join a growing business. You will take full responsibility for the accounts, working confidently on Sage with support from an experienced Finance Assistant.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage day-to-day accounts, including processing payments, invoices, and expenses
2. Perform daily bank reconciliations and system checks using Sage Line 50
3. Oversee purchase and sales ledgers
4. Maintain the fixed asset register
5. Reconcile petty cash
6. Submit monthly CIS returns and support payroll entries
7. Prepare VAT returns, monthly journals, P&L, balance sheets, and management accounts
8. Monitor company cash flow and support financial planning
9. Lead audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
