We seek a dynamic and enthusiastic Children and Young People's Occupational Therapist to join a well-established and continuously growing, professional, warm, and welcoming team in Camden. The CYP's Occupational Therapy service offers a high-quality service to all children aged from 0-19 in Camden. The CYP's OT service offers a high quality service to all eligible children, aged from birth to school leaving age, who live or attend school in Camden or who are registered with a Camden GP. The service covers more than 50 primary and secondary schools, special schools and units, nurseries and children's centres.
The caseload is varied and there is much opportunity to further develop specialist skills in the areas of neurodisability, DCD and ASD and leadership skills in clinical pathways such as Upper Limb, Assistive Technology, Social Care OT, Sensory Processing and Early Years support.
The post holder will be part of the multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for delivering an OT service for children with a wide variety of diagnoses including assisting the team with diagnosis through assessment, planning, and provision of treatment. The post holder will also be responsible for leading a clinical pathway based on their experience, needs of the service, and clinical interest.
In addition to a clinical workload, the post holder will be responsible for the development and leadership of the service. With support from other senior staff, they will review and develop process maps in line with best practice evidence, identify areas for service development, and support implementation of Quality Improvement projects. They will directly supervise members of the team, run team meetings, identify gaps in knowledge, and support with CPD.
