We’re looking for an experienced Technology Buyer – Direct Goods & Services to play a pivotal role in sourcing the specialist goods and services that directly support our production and operational teams. Sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing direct goods and services. Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on technical capability, pricing, lead times, and compliance. Developing and negotiating contracts. Managing purchase orders and supplier agreements. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance and resolving issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing. Conducting supplier reviews, audits, and assessments to ensure adherence to technical and operational standards. Working closely with engineering, production, quality, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure technical specifications are met. Analysing market trends and pricing to identify cost saving opportunities without compromising quality. Supporting inventory optimisation and reducing excess or obsolete stock. What you’ll bring You’ll be someone who enjoys working at pace, takes ownership, and is passionate about delivering value through procurement. Demonstrable experience (typically gained over around five years) in technical procurement of direct goods and services within an electronics manufacturing. A strong understanding of technical specifications, manufacturing processes, and supply chain principles. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem solving skills. A proactive, detail oriented approach with strong analytical capability. Experience using procurement and ERP systems such as Dynamics D365, SAP, or similar. A collaborative mindset with the ability to partner across departments. Qualifications CIPS qualification or studying towards is essential. Why join us?
