The Role A requirement has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team delivering a major water and utilities framework, operating from the Brighton offices. This is a key role that will involve taking a lead on the commercial management of a portfolio of civils and utilities schemes, ensuring robust cost control and providing strategic commercial support to project teams. Responsibilities * Lead on the commercial delivery of allocated projects, ensuring profitability and compliance. * Prepare, review, and agree applications for payment, variations, and final accounts. * Take ownership of subcontract procurement, management, and change control processes. * Provide accurate forecasting, CVRs, and detailed financial reports to senior management. * Ensure contracts are administered in accordance with NEC requirements. * Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders. * Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks while maximising opportunities. Candidate Requirements * Proven experience operating as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors. * Strong knowledge and application of NEC contracts. * A track record of successfully managing the commercial function on multi-disciplinary projects. * Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to work across multiple live projects. * Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field is preferred.
