Position Overview
Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) is recruiting a Band 3 Community Maternity Support Worker. The role requires a UK driver and access to a car.
Responsibilities
* Support midwives, nurses, nursery nurses and doctors in providing care to women and babies.
* Assist in the provision of care during antenatal, delivery and postnatal periods, across antenatal clinics, maternity theatres, in‑patient wards and labour ward.
* Serve as a point of contact for women and their families, offering clinical, physical, psychological and emotional support in conjunction with the midwife.
* Carry out routine clerical duties to ensure the smooth running of the midwifery team.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous experience in the care industry, particularly working with the public.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Flexible approach to working across any area of maternity service.
* UK driving licence and access to a private vehicle.
* Unable to be offered a Certificate of Sponsorship.
