Duration: 3 months (Plus 3 month extension)
Location: Remote (UK only)
We're hiring a Test Automation Engineer to help accelerate the shift from manual to automated UI testing at a growing HealthTech, working closely with the NHS. It’s a short-term contract where you'll make a real impact, designing and delivering robust, Playwright-based test coverage that fits into their CI/CD pipeline.
You’ll work closely with the manual QA team, focus on critical user journeys, and hand over a maintainable suite of tests that the in-house team can own going forward.
What you’ll be doing:
* Building out scalable UI automation using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript)
* Translating manual test cases into solid automated coverage
* Plugging tests into CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
* Working closely with QA and developers on test scenarios and defect triage
* Running handover sessions and supporting knowledge transfer
* Contributing to a culture of quality and automation best practices
What we’re looking for:
* Strong experience with Playwright in real-world projects
* Solid grasp of UI test design and test automation strategy
* CI/CD integration experience (ideally Azure DevOps)
* Comfortable collaborating with manual testers and upskilling others
* Bonus points for broader testing exposure (API, performance, cross-browser)
