TeacherActive is proud to be partnering with a number of excellent SEND providers across Swindon and surrounding areas. As part of our commitment to providing high-quality education staff, we are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants (SEND TAs) to join our team from September. This particular setting is seeking a dedicated SEND TA to join their team on a long-term basis. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), working both 1:1 and in small groups. The right candidate will bring patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving the educational and emotional development of young learners.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), 1:1 and in small groups.
* Assist in creating a positive learning environment and support the teacher with planned activities and classroom routines.
Qualifications
* Proven experience supporting students with SEND in either education or care settings
* Confidence working with a variety of learning needs and behaviours
* The ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively and calmly
* A warm, caring, and consistent approach to support and learning
