Saw Operator
Our client is looking for a full-time production operator to take responsibility for operating a stone saw at their quarry in Clipsham. This role benefits from a competitive hourly rate and a shared production bonus scheme.
Main duties
1. Operate the Wire and Benetti Saw
2. Preparation of stone blocks for the saw
3. Storage of cut stone for collection
4. Load and unload vehicles as required
5. Complete on the job training as required
6. Quality checks of all Stone produced
7. Husbandry of storage areas for stock
8. Preventive maintenance of saw and forklift
9. Complete of all machinery daily checks including forklifts
10. Support quarry operations as required
About you
A background in stone masonry or construction is not necessary as full training will be provided.
You will need to have:
11. Experience of working in production for a manufacturing company an advantage
12. Ideally you’ll have worked in a construction-based business and be used to working outside and/or manual work
13. Forklift licence an advantage but all training can be provided
14. Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
15. The ability to communicate clearly
Our client provides all PPE required for the role.
Working hours are usually 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday, however, some flexibility may be required and extended hours may sometimes be necessary to meet deadlines (overtime is payable).
