HR Business Partner
The Growth Company (GC) is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to deliver a high‑quality, proactive Business Partnering service that supports our ambition to be a high‑performing, values‑driven employer. You will work closely with senior leaders to shape effective people solutions, influence organisational culture, and drive meaningful change through pragmatic, best‑practice HR advice and guidance.
You’ll be joining a dynamic and purpose‑driven HR team within a social enterprise committed to supporting economic development, skills, employment, and enterprise across the communities we serve.
With around 340 People Managers across GC, this role plays a vital part in strengthening organisational capability, supporting significant change activity, and ensuring consistent delivery of HR initiatives across the business units you partner with. You will work closely with Managing Directors (MDs) and senior leadership teams to align people priorities with wider business goals.
Please note, this is a 13 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Working with the MD of Education and Skills and their direct reports to create functional people plan aligned to the people strategy and functional priorities.
2. Provide a fully integrated HR BP service tailored to the needs of each business unit.
3. Develop functional people plans aligned with the wider people strategy and business priorities.
4. Support senior leaders to deliver strategic objectives that enhance organisational performance.
5. Ensure consistent implementation of core HR activity aligned to GC policies and best practice.
6. Lead and project‑manage complex HR operational work including restructuring, redeployment, redundancies, and TUPE activity.
7. Provide expert advice on organisational design and change management.
8. Collaborate with the bid team to assess people requirements for future business opportunities.
9. Develop succession planning and talent pipelines for your business areas.
10. Coach and develop the Senior HR Advisors and HR Advisors, supporting their professional growth.
11. Analyse and monitor HR metrics to identify trends and inform decision-making.
12. Provide clear options and risk-based advice to managers on complex people matters.
13. Deliver coaching, training and development for people managers on performance management, capability, conflict resolution, recruitment, and absence management.
14. Support the embedding of Group-wide change initiatives.
15. Contribute to the overall development and continuous improvement of the HR service.
About You:

Skills Required:
23. Level 5 or above CIPD Qualified (Chartered/Graduate/ Associate membership).
24. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior Advisor or HRBP role.
25. Experience leading and managing large-scale change projects including restructures and redundancy processes.
26. Strong understanding of current employment law and HR best practice.
27. High attention to detail, accuracy, and sound judgement.
