About the role
We're looking for an energetic and proactive Assistant HR Business Partner to join our Power England and Wales business. This role supports the delivery of our People Plan, helping drive business growth and meet key contractual milestones. You'll take ownership of a range of cyclical HR activities and work closely with HRBPs and wider teams across the organisation.

What you'll be doing
* Act as the appointed HR lead for designated areas of the Power business, managing all related HR activities.
* Coordinate ad hoc HR projects and collaborate with enabling functions, Group HR, and parent companies.
* Champion employee engagement initiatives, including survey promotion and DE&I activities.
* Lead the interface with HR functions to manage cyclical activities (e.g. L&D, pay review, talent, graduates/apprentices), ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
* Provide advisory support for change programmes, mobilisation, and ED&I initiatives.
* Resolve complex HR queries with professionalism, escalating where necessary.
* Coach and support less experienced leaders on key HR topics such as talent management and employee engagement.
* Deliver training sessions to enhance line manager capability.
* Handle pay and benefits queries in collaboration with HR Shared Services and Reward teams.
* Offer one-to-one coaching to managers to help them deliver their People Plan.
* Promote high performance by guiding managers on development principles.
* Support project-related HR activities.
* Embody the Balfour Beatty Behaviours and maintain a strong focus on Zero Harm.
Who we're looking for
* Proven experience advising leaders through change and managing HR initiatives.
* Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders.
* Creative and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
* Solid understanding of HR policies and generalist HR experience.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and a diverse workload.
* Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
