Newport Primary School
Required for after Christmas, a full-time Apprentice Teaching Assistant, L3. The successful applicant will be a creative and enthusiastic person that has some experience of working with Primary age children. The desired applicant will also have a passion or experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs and begin to understand how to challenge children to be the best they can be, extending those higher learners. The person will be caring and dedicated to improving the learning for all pupils, by inspiring and fostering a welcoming and colourful learning environment and support stimulating lessons. The person will receive in school training, have a mentor and be supported by the Apprenticeship Team and have ongoing learning tasks, release time and in class experience.

You will have:
4. The equivalent of a Maths and English GCSE C or Grade 4 with excellent communication skills and be able to use your skills and experience to inspire and support children, following the teacher’s direction but also use initiative
5. understand behaviour management with a good understanding of the need to educate children socially and emotionally, providing a wealth of learning opportunities
6. a good sense of humour, dynamic can-do attitude and a positive outlook
Appointment is subject to enhanced DBS check.
Interviews and tasks will be in school.
