Job Summary
**PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP AT THIS TIME**
Overview:
I am an 18-year-old man, I am looking for people to join my team to help support me. I am autistic and I have a learning disability. I have sensory processing disorder which is a condition that affects my brain and means that my senses are very sensitive to stimuli that other people's senses are not.
I'm non-verbal but that doesn't mean I can't communicate my wishes, needs and emotions to you. You need to listen with your eyes as well as your ears. I often use physical touch and vocalisations to communicate.
Things I enjoy:
I love being around people
I like doors being shut and things in their proper place.
I like watching TV and my tablet
Jumping up and down.
I love food.
What I need:
I need you to speak in a slow, calm manner. When speaking to me, please use short, simple words and sentences.
My processing speed is slower, and I can get easily confused. I struggle with people that are very loud and may need you to speak a little quieter.
Requirements to work with me:
I need people who have experience working with young people with learning disabilities and autism (minimum 2 years)
I need the people who work with me to be kind and compassionate and to also put boundaries in place with me
I would like the people who work with me to have an NVQ (minimum level 2) preferred level 3
I am an amazing young man who loves being around others and want people who genuinely have a passion for making my life as good as it can be – because I deserve it
