Job Purpose:
Lead the Data & Analytics strategy and team for the BBC contract, providing timely and effective insight and reporting across a broad range of areas and platforms.
Work with the operational and management teams to design and develop sustainable and scalable analytical solutions to support the operational need.
Interpret internal business and Client requirements to deliver meaningful insight and analysis to identify opportunities and drive improvement opportunities.
Champion the use of data & insight across the account providing expertise and guidance to all levels of the operation to ensure platforms are actively used
Ensure accuracy and robustness of data quality is maintained through various systems and platforms and robust data governance is adhered to.
Duties:
1. Leading a team of 2 x Data Analysts in generating and analysing data and trend analysis across a selection of data and information sets to provide a broad range of insights
2. The creation and presentation of data and insight to both the account and Client teams
3. Lead the design and development of analytics across the account using the most appropriate data mining and visualisation tools
4. Creating the methodology and utilisation for data and insight across the account team transferring knowledge to various areas of the business to aid decision making / improve performance.
5. Implement processes to assess and prioritise requests for data, reporting and analytics to meet to the demands of the business
6. Identify and implement opportunities to deliver data innovations to develop integrated Workplace insight
7. Manage the design and development of dashboards and associated reporting using visualisation tools
8. Lead on specialist projects to create data collation efficiencies, develop visualisation boards and appropriate reporting to support business improvement activities
9. Implement data governance and controls across the account team, ensuring data quality is effectively managed and controlled
10. Provide expertise to both the account and Client teams on data applications, insights and reporting
11. Use data and insights to challenge business thinking and help shape a suite of data led improvement opportunities
12. Work with EMCOR UK central teams to ensure best practice is shared
About the role
13. Experience in leading and developing a team of data analysts to meet business requirements
14. Proven ability to provide a high standard of leadership in operational reporting principles, including the ability to implement systems and processes and to proactively resolve problems
15. High level of interpersonal and communication skills, along with excellent presentation skills and ability to lead others in the use of technology solutions
16. Strong organisational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise workloads both personally and for the wider team to achieve tight deadlines and desired outcomes with due regard to accuracy
17. Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including advanced level Excel skills with the ability to work confidently with statistical and DAX functions.
18. Proven experience in leading on the creation and utilisation of dashboard visualisations, ensuring insights and opportunities are identified and proactively managed
19. Strong problem solving skills and analytical mindset
Other Factors:
20. This role is 40 hours a week (Flexible / Birmingham based)
21. Travel to various UK sites is required
