About the role:
As a Financial Planning Associate, you will be joining our training academy at an exiting time for Attivo as we continue to grow. This is a unique opportunity to become a member of the Financial Planning Support team and develop your career with the excellent study support we offer. During your first 6 months, you will begin your Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, fully funded and supported by the business. We offer an excellent career path from Financial Planning Associate through to Chartered Financial Planner, supported throughout by our internal training Academy.
About you:
You have aspirations to become a Chartered Financial Planner or Chartered Paraplanner and are looking for the right business to support those goals. You will be driven, self motivated and able to handle a busy workload whilst sitting professional qualifications. You could be a graduate that has studied economics or business, or someone that has experience within Financial Services already and is looking for progression. You may have already completed some of your CII exams and are looking to put your knowledge in to practice. You are a fast learner, able to pick things up quickly and seek out learning opportunities. You are naturally inquisitive and have excellent communication skills. You will have sharp attention to detail and work best when faced with a busy workload.
The successful candidate will need to be based at our Darlington Office a minimum of 3 days per week, with the option to work remotely the remaining days. We value work life balance and offer flexible working alongside our hybrid approach.
Key Responsibilities include:
The accurate processing of all New Business Submissions in line with SLAs, working with platforms and providers to ensure client applications and requests concluded with no delays Input and maintain new business data in client management systems on a timely basis so that client records are accurate, up-to-date and contain relevant information reflecting the true state and progress of the work undertaken General Administration support to the wider Financial Planning team to assist with meeting preparation and client enquiries Secure and deliver information from the initial data gathering request so that it can progress through to completion Liaise with product providers and insurance companies to obtain policy and plan information in a timely manner Assist Financial Planners with portfolio reviews via analysis, compilation and completion of-in house client reports/meeting packs
Ensure compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, escalating any breaches or concerns to the Compliance Officer in a timely manner with full and accurate information Maintain and proactively secure product, technical, and regulatory knowledge to enhance personal performance.
Essential skills and experience
Minimum 5 GCSEs graded A-B (6), or equivalent, including Maths and English or have the experience to demonstrate the ability to work at this level Must have an aspiration to become a Financial Planner or Paraplanner Excellent interpersonal, listening, numerical and IT skills Excellent written/verbal communication skills Good organisational, time management, and caseload management skills Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Relevant degree such as Economics, or Financial Services industry experience
Desirable skills and experience
Experience within Financial Planning or Wealth Management would be an advantage Currently working towards your Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII)
Salary and benefits
Starting salary £25,000 (rising on completing of professional exams) up to £32,000.
